    Boeing Navy Project
    Legacy workload from the days of the former Newark AFB is returning to the COATC in 2009. Preparations are wrapping up to accept the Navy work.


    Boeing VMC
    Boeing opened its Virtual Manufacturing Center in September 2008. In addition to improving Boeing-Heath's competitiveness, the VMC could become an aerospace product development mecca for the aerospace industry in Ohio.


    Samuel Manu-Tech
    Samuel Manu-Tech opened a new $14 million state-of-the-art steel fabrication facility on the COATC South Campus in 2007. The facility brought over 100 new manufacturing jobs to Heath.


    Infrastructure Upgrades
    Construction is better than 50% complete on the third stage of infrastructure improvements to the COATC Campus. The $2.9 million project provides improved access for both the Base and South Campus of the COATC.

    Navy Workload Coming to Heath
    After a 14-year absence, Navy guidance system workload that left after announcement of closure of the former Newark AFB, will return. Work is wrapping up on the area of the building that will accept new Navy workload as part of the Boeing presence at the COATC.

    A new website, feeltheimpact.com, is unveiled to track the progress of the Port Authority's local economic stimulus project that includes over a dozen local contractors and vendors working to churn the $2.9 million project over again and again in the economy.

    Virtual Center a Reality
    Two years of discussion and work through a public-private partnership saw the Boeing Virtual Manufacturing Center become a reality. With an audience of Boeing executives and federal, state, and local officials donning 3-D glasses, the new high-tech tool made its public debut.
